Privacy Policy
Encore Atlas is designed to collect only what is needed to operate the service and improve music discovery. Last reviewed August 29, 2026.
Location
Your location remains off unless you choose “Use my location.” Nearby calculations happen on your device. We do not save precise coordinates in our database.
Accounts and saved activity
If you sign in, we receive the email address and optional display name supplied by the sign-in service. Favorites, followed artists and “I Was There” history can then be stored securely so they follow you across devices. Without sign-in, those choices remain in your browser.
Analytics
We record limited product events such as page visits, sharing, calendar additions and ticket-link selections. We use a random browser identifier to estimate usage. We do not place precise location, message contents or payment information into analytics.
Messages and corrections
Contact and correction submissions include the information you choose to provide. They are used to answer requests, review listings and maintain accuracy.
Encore Indie community contributions
Local-show submissions include the contact details and event information you choose to provide so Encore can verify the listing. Community confirmations use a random device identifier to prevent repeated counts from the same browser. Change reports may include an optional email for follow-up. Submitter contact information and device identifiers are not displayed in the public calendar.
Battle of the Indie Bands voting
A random device identifier keeps one current band choice per browser. You may change that choice, which replaces the earlier vote. The public standings show totals only; they do not display the identifier or connect the vote to a My Encore account.
External services
Ticket sellers, maps and social networks have their own privacy practices. Encore Atlas does not receive your ticket payment information. This policy will be updated as new services are connected.
